What You Should Know About Rejection Letter

A rejection letter is a letter written by organizations to job seekers informing them why the job application processes will be discontinued with them.

Organizations write rejection letter to appreciate the efforts of job seekers on their passion to work and how they have potentials to thrive in the labor market.

What organizations consider when writing a rejection letter:

Every organization has its mode of operation. Therefore, a rejection letter has a particular style of writing it.

Essence of time management for both parties:

Before an organization writes a rejection letter to a job seeker, the time of the job seeker is well thought about. This will allow the job seeker to know the next line of action to take. Also, it ensures proper time management for an organization.

Qualification criteria of job applicant:

Organizations consider the training and educational qualifications of job applicants. For instance an applicant with a Bachelor of Arts will get a rejection letter for a role for someone with Bachelor of Science.

Skills and relevant experience:

A job seeker with experience in teaching in a primary school will probably be given a rejection letter if he or she applied for a job to teach in a secondary school. This is because he or she lack past teaching experience in a secondary school setting.

Contents of a rejection letter:

The contents of a rejection letter state why the rejection letter was written. A rejection letter in one organization could differ slightly from another organization, however, the pattern of writing a rejection letter is similar.

Number of paragraphs in a rejection letter:

A rejection letter should have between two to three paragraphs. Each paragraph in a rejection letter is linked to the other in terms of the message it conveys to the job seeker.

In conclusion, getting a rejection letter a few days after applying for a job is not the end of the world. What the applicant needs to know is that if his or her skills, experience and educational qualifications are not needed in a particular company, they could be sought after in another organization.
