Mother Of 8 Children Dies After Trying To Abort Pregnancy Which Belongs To Boyfriend In Ogun State

A married woman with as many as eight children has died after committing abortion in an Ogun State community.  Serious tragedy recently struck in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital when a mother of eight, identified as Sukurat Adedoyin, reportedly died following complications from abortion of pregnancy.       Sunday Vanguard reports that the 33-year-old deceased, who was alleged to have been impregnated by her boyfriend, Alabi Kamilu, 30, sought the help of an auxiliary nurse, Bello Abosede, 34, to terminate the pregnancy.   The Investigating Police Officer, Asake Morowuntonu, said the victim was a married woman and had had eight children.   Morowuntonu stated that Kamilu, the alleged boyfriend, forced the deceased to terminate the pregnancy.   Source: tori.ng

Sad Ending As University Of Benin Student Drowns In River Benue

Report has it that a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has died a really tragic death inside the River Benue after going there to swim.  A yet to be identified University of Benin student has drowned in River Benue, on the closing day of Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) in Makurdi, Vanguard reports.   Dr Omeche Onoja, Chairman, NUGA games medical and sanitation sub committee confirmed the incident.   The name of the student was not disclosed. Onoja said the student had gone to the river to swim when the incident occurred.       She said his corpse had been deposited at Madonna Hospital in Makurdi.   ”We had a distress call from some students of the situation but on reaching the river, we found the lifeless body of the student, who has been identified by his colleagues. A baby girl from the Ivory Coast, born with four legs and two spines, has finally returned home from the United States after undergoing a complex surgery. Dominique underwent a six-hour procedure involving five surgeons in Illinois back in March to remove limbs of a parasitic twin from her back. Mohamed Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi, 11, had his legs amputated after he sustained serious injuries following an alleged beating by staff at a school in Malaysia.  He was then placed in an induced coma and doctors planned to amputate an arm but he succumbed to his injuries and gave up the ghost.
