The Eid Mubarak celebration should not mark the end of worship for all fasting Muslims in the about to end month of Ramadan this year. The significance of Eid Mubarak is to thank Almighty Allaah for the completion of the 29 or 30 days of fasting. Interestingly enough, this year's Ramadan fasting ends in 30 days. The Eid Mubarak celebration, after the month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar), falls annually on the 1st of Shawwal (the tenth month of the Islamic calendar).
