Liverpool: Most Outstanding English Premier League Team On Match Day 8

Liverpool were the most outstanding English Premier League (EPL) team last week, Match Day 8. The Reds were in blistering form away from home against their host, Watford United.

The Reds under the tutelage of their Manager, Jurgen Klopp proved that they have what it takes to win the EPL at the end of the current campaign. Liverpool, also known as 'The Kop' hammered Watford with five unreplied goals.

The Reds came to Vicarage Road, home of Watford United with a winning mentality. They knew they had to earn the maximum three points, and indeed they got the job done.

A good number of EPL fans and pundits surely would agree with me that Liverpool were clearly the favourite team last week. It was not just because they secured a 5-0 win over Watford. It was simply the way they instilled their dominance over their host, played entertaining football, as well as proved their title credentials.
Watford might have sensed the danger before the game started. There was however, nothing they could do against the attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. The three musketeers of Liverpool, which were Salah, Firmino and Mane together punished Watford.

Mane, Salah and Firmino

Liverpool gave newly appointed Watford gaffer, Claudio Ranieri a bitter welcome party to the Premier League. Ranieri, who had managed EPL sides of Chelsea and Leicester in the past tasted defeat as new Watford boss on home soil. Sadio Mane did not waste time as he slotted home the first goal for Liverpool in the eighth minute. Roberto Firmino bagged a hat trick by netting in the 37th, 52nd and 91st minutes.

The Reds current top goalscorer, Salah was not left out of the goal scoring party. The Egyptian found the back of the net in the 54th minute, to make it his seventh EPL goal for this season.

Liverpool will file out this Sunday against their arch-rival, Manchester United in an important EPL game at Old Trafford. The odds favour The Reds to beat their opponent based on their current form. How will things turn out? Will it be a demolition of Man United? The answers to these questions will be answered on Sunday, October 24 time as Man United play host to high flying Liverpool.

Barely three months of delicate surgical operation in Dubai, a Boko Haram child victim, Ali Ahmadu, has returned to Nigeria. Ali, who had been on wheelchair in the last four years, can now walk, to the joy and relief of the huge crowd which welcomed him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Monday, December 4. He arrived the country with  his aunt, Hannatu Madu, Soordinator of Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care (GIPLC),  Nuhu Kwajafa and representatives of Dickens Sanomi Foundation, which footed his bill. #RamadanDailyDigest: Muslim Wives Are Supporters, Not Slaves

Muslims have completed fasting Day 4 today, as they look forward to Day 5 fasting out of the 29 or 30 days fasting; it is important to highlight the roles Muslim wives play in the family. Muslim wives are supporters, and not slaves, and should be treated with utmost dignity. In the religion of Islam, the roles and rights of Muslim wives are copiously written and spoken about. How husbands should relate with their wives are clearly stated. In the Glorious Qur'an, to show the love Allaah has for women, chapter 4 is also called 'Suuratu Nisaa' which translates to chapter of the women in English language. Interesting to know that there is no single chapter out of the total 114 chapters of the Glorious Qur'an named after men, further showing that Muslim wives, daughters, mothers, and all groups of females are held in high esteem by Allaah. It is a sad tale to see what happens in the present day world, whereby some women are maltreated and abused by the society and their part...
