Just a few days after the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed to Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari's inauguration will low key, the Federal Government has now revealed activities to mark May 29 as well as June 12.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari officially recognised June 12 as the real Democracy Day instead of May 29 last year; The National Assembly has also passed the Bill to mark June 12 as Democracy Day, with the president's assent left to make it an Act (Law).

The Federal Government on Monday rolled out activities to mark the May 29 handover and June 12 Democracy Day.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohamed, who spoke at a press briefing in Abuja, said that both days would be marked as a public holiday this year.
The minister added that most of the activities have been moved to June 12, and that the events slated for May 29, would be low key.
He said world leaders will only attend the June 12 events.
