Immediate ex Chelsea of England goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has been clearing the air over his famous move from Stamford Bridge to the exquisite Santiago Bernabeu, home of Real Madrid.
According to DailyTrust, the lanky safehands of Belgian National team dumped the Blues for Los Blancos in order to fully be with his family, his agent has claimed.
"There has been a misunderstanding that he wanted to get a move for the wrong reasons, but he was pushing to go out of Chelsea because of his child," Christophe Henrotay said.
"If the family were in London it would have been totally different. He would have stayed, there is no reason to leave a club like Chelsea, he could have won trophies.
"Unfortunately his kids are living with the mother in Madrid."
Recall that Courtois was Athletico of Madrid's safe hands when Real Madrid bitterly equalised 1-1 via a Sergio Ramos header at stoppage time of the 2013/2014 Champions League final.
Madrid went on to defeat Athletico 4-1 after extra time.
