Francis Uzoho has made it known that he avoided all that could have weighed him down before Super Eagles defeated Iceland.
According to Daily Post, Francis Uzoho, Super Eagles first-choice keeper assured before the important game that he won’t be under pressure during Nigeria’s match against Iceland.
The 19 year-old said he won’t allow the burden of expectations to weigh him down the crucial test in the group D game that Nigeria won by 2-0 against the Scandinavian country.
Uzoho, who plays for Deportivo La Coruna of Spain gave the assurance during a press conference prior to the match.

“I know what Nigerians expect from their goalkeepers. I just try for now not to think about them so it won’t get to me,” Uzoho stated.
Despite appearing for Deportivo La Coruna’s team B, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has entrusted him with the gloves for the tournament.
