Legendary Singer, Elvis Presley's Private Jet To Be Auctioned For $430,000 (See Photo)

Legendary singer, Elvis Presley's private jet will be auctioned by the last person who purchased it for more than $400,000 online.

Presley, a white American is said to be one of the greatest musicians in the history of pop music.

One of Presley’s private jets is once again up for auction. The 1962 Lockheed Jetstar, grounded in Roswell, N.M., for over four decades, has not been altered since Presley, who died in 1977, last owned it.

The online auction site IronPlanet is accepting bids for the jet, which was owned by the singer and his father, Vernon, until July 27.

Featuring an interior custom-designed to Presley’s specifications, the plane has gold-tone hardware, custom woodwork and inlays, red velvet seats, and red shag carpet.

The aircraft also features original external painting and detailing. However, it has no engine and its cockpit needs restoring. Its current owner bought it last year for $430,000.

It is, a spokesperson for the auctioneers said in an email to The Daily Beast, the only known jet from Presley’s fleet that remains privately owned—the other two are owned by the Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.

All FAA documents and invoices showing previous ownership by Presley will be included in the auction.

#RamadanDailyDigest: Muslim Wives Are Supporters, Not Slaves

Muslims have completed fasting Day 4 today, as they look forward to Day 5 fasting out of the 29 or 30 days fasting; it is important to highlight the roles Muslim wives play in the family. Muslim wives are supporters, and not slaves, and should be treated with utmost dignity. In the religion of Islam, the roles and rights of Muslim wives are copiously written and spoken about. How husbands should relate with their wives are clearly stated. In the Glorious Qur'an, to show the love Allaah has for women, chapter 4 is also called 'Suuratu Nisaa' which translates to chapter of the women in English language. Interesting to know that there is no single chapter out of the total 114 chapters of the Glorious Qur'an named after men, further showing that Muslim wives, daughters, mothers, and all groups of females are held in high esteem by Allaah. It is a sad tale to see what happens in the present day world, whereby some women are maltreated and abused by the society and their part...
