#2018EkitiStateElection: Fayemi Said To Have Escaped Assassination Attempt During APC Rally (Photos)

Immediate past mines minister and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship flagbearer in the forthcoming Ekiti state election, Dr Kayode Fayemi was reported to have been a target of assassination.

The violence that marred the rousing welcome rally held for APC governorship flag bearer in Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, got messier a few hours ago as a policeman allegedly detailed to cover the rally allegedly shot teargas canisters arbitrarily at some people in the Ojumose area of Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

Ojumose is about one kilometer from the APC Secretariat where the earlier misfire by a mobile policeman had occurred.

A taxi driver, a woman and two others yet to be identified were said to have been seriously injured.

Some members of PDP have alleged that the policemen who shot in Ojumose were with Fayemi but APC members have denied the allegations.

A fake mopol allegedly shot Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB)' arm today while trying to shoot Fayemi in Ekiti state .MOB has been rushed to the hospital, reports say one of the two other persons who were shot may have died.
