#FACupFinal: Chelsea Beat Manchester United 1-0 As Hazard, Victor Moses Shine

Chelsea FC have emerged winner of the English FA Cup after defeating rivals, Manchester United by 1-0.

According to ChannelsTV, Manchester United’s Portuguese managerJose Mourinho claimed Chelsea didn’t deserve to win the FA Cup after adopting a cautious approach in the second half of their 1-0 victory against Manchester United on Saturday.

Mourinho was frustrated that Chelsea opted to sit back and defend the lead secured by Eden Hazard’s first-half penalty at Wembley.

United were poor in the opening period, but they controlled possession after the interval as Chelsea manager Antonio Conte opted to play more cautiously.

Despite dominating in the second half, Mourinho’s side left empty-handed thanks to some fine saves from Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

And the United manager, often criticised for sending out negative teams himself, couldn’t resist the chance to take a swipe at his old rival Conte’s tactics.

“I congratulate them because they won but I don’t think they deserved to win,” Mourinho said.

“I am the Manchester United manager and I have to be respectful, not just because they (Chelsea) are my previous club but because they are the opponents today.

“But I think we deserved to win. I am quite curious to know what you say or what people write because if my team plays like Chelsea did I can imagine what people would say. I am quite curious.

“The image of the game is that (United goalkeeper) David de Gea did not touch the ball. He touched the ball in the net.”

Mourinho admitted the absence of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who was only able to feature as a second-half substitute following an ankle injury, was a major hindrance as it encouraged Chelsea to play a more defensive and physical style.

“It was a bit hard for us to play without Lukaku against a team that defends with nine players. You need that presence,” he said.

“Chelsea are not stupid. They know our team without Lukaku does not have a presence, so putting eight or nine players in front of the box they knew they would be dominant in that direct football.

“We tried everything by other ways but they had a huge block of compacted players.

“Every defeat hurts but I go home with the feeling we gave everything. No regrets.”

7 Greatest Sportsmen Of All Time

There are often arguments and counterarguments on who the 7 greatest sportsmen of all time are. Some sports historians, analysts, and supporters pick their own choices not necessarily on facts but emotions.  In picking the 7 greatest sportsmen of all time, I briefly checked their achievements not just in their specific fields but also their impact outside the world of sports. 1. Boxing legend, Muhammad Ali has been crowned the best sports athlete of all time in a star-studded list. The 'Greatest' is widely considered the best boxer in history and arguably the most iconic sports star of the 20th century.  Ali was not just a beauty to watch in the boxing ring, the greatest pugilist positively influenced decisions in many countries globally.  2. Pele is widely picked as the winner, and number one football player in history in all criteria. His three-time World Cup-winning feat, from four World Cup appearances, is unlikely to be matched. Pele scored a Guinness World Record of...

#RamadanDailyDigest: Significance Of Moonsighting & Commencement Of Ramadan

Ramadan Daily Digest, which is an annual article on the stable of Naijaloveinfo with hashtag, #RamadanDailyDigest will be discussing briefly the significance of moonsighting and the commencement of Ramadan. Ramadan, which is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar is the only month in which Muslims, the world over fast from dawn till sunset for 29 or 30 days. Allaah commands Muslims to fast as stated in some parts of Suuratul Baqara (chapter 2) of The Glorious Qur'an. The Glorious Qur'an is the first and most important book to all Muslims. For all the Islamic months, starting from Muharram (first month) to Dhul Hajj (12th month), the numbers of days in each of these 12 months are often 29 days and once in a while 30 days. The interesting thing about counting days is that the crescent (new moon) plays an important role. Therefore, the significance of moonsighting is the first consideration before starting the Ramadan fasting.  The question that could come up is why do Muslims co...
