#DemocracyDay: 4 Reasons Why Nigerians Are Angry With President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has given another Democracy Day speech today, May 29. The nation's number one citizen has practically spent three years as Nigeria's president.

On the part of a good number of Nigerians, there are so many things the citizens are not happy with, especially on the issues of fighting corruption, security as well as economic revival.

President Buhari promised the masses heaven and earth, prior to his victory against former president, Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday, March 28, 2015, however, it's another kettle of fish now.

Here are four reasons why Nigerians are not comfortable with the Buhari led government.

1. Some sections of the country believe President Buhari has totally marginalised them. The Southeastern people think Buhari has nothing to offer them.

2. There is so much poverty and hunger in the land. A large number of Nigerians groan everyday under low income and hike in food prices.

3. The war against corruption is believed not to be holistic in approach. This sentiment is held mostly by opposition parties and critics of the current administration.

4. Killings of minority ethnic groups by alleged herdsmen across the country. States like Benue, Taraba, have become killing grounds for these marauders.

Will Dr Doyin Okupe's resignation negatively affect the presidential ambition and campaign of Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi is a question on the lips of some Nigerians. On Tuesday, December 20, the erstwhile director general of the ObiDatti 2023 presidential campaign organisation, Dr Doyin Okupe threw in the towel.  Dr Doyin Okupe before his resignation, had a day earlier been in an Abuja Court to answer to a case of money laundering leveled against him. Pele is widely picked as the winner, and number one football player in history in all criteria. His three-time World Cup-winning feat, from four World Cup appearances, is unlikely to be matched. Pele scored a Guinness World Record of 1279
