See 3 Photos Which Show President Muhammadu Buhari And Chief Obasanjo Love Each Other

On Tuesday, January 23, former civilian president and military Head of State, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo threw a bomb. The ex number one citizen came for the head of current president, Muhammadu Buhari.

In the usual advisory style of Obasanjo, the Ogun state born elder statesman wrote an 18-page epistle, where he counselled President Buhari, among raising other germane issues.

One of the main points feasted upon by journalists and other Nigerians was where Obasanjo advised Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019.

All news outlets and social media platforms had Obasanjo trending even up to this present moment.

The question on the lips of some Nigerians is, "has the Ebora Owu consulted his crystal ball again, before coming out to fire shots at Buhari?"

Nigerians should remember that it was the same Obasanjo, who warned former presidents, late Umar Musa Yar'Adua and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, against staying longer in office. Nigerians could remember what happened afterwards to both late Yar'Adua and Jonathan. The question now is, will Buhari also go the same way and be disgraced out of office if he seeks a second term?

According to Vanguard of Wednesday, January 24, the 10 major things Obasanjo pointed out in his article to Buhari, or call it Buhari's sins are:

1. Nepotism and clannishness
2. Spreading poverty
3. Insecurity
4. Gross derelection of duty
5. Poor economic management
6. Condoning misdeeds; if not outright encouragement of it
7. Lack of progress and hope for the future
8. Lack of national cohesion
9. Non understanding of internal political dynamics
10. Widening inequality

It is a year to the next general elections. Time will tell if President Muhammadu Buhari will heed the advice of his superior and retired army officer, Chief Aremu Okikiola Olusegun Obasanjo or not.
