Barcelona Want $10million From Neymar For Breach Of Contract

BEVERLY HILLS, August 22, (THEWILL) reports that FC Barcelona of Spain are seeking at least 8.5 million euros ($10 million) from Neymar for breach of contract.

According to a statement by the club, its demand against Neymar was lodged on August 11 with Barcelona’s employment court, eight days after his world record 222-million-euro move to Paris Saint-Germain.

“In this lawsuit, the club demands the amount already paid as a bonus for the renewal of his contract for breach of contract, 8.5 million euros in damages, and an additional 10 percent in interests,” Barcelona said in a statement.

THEWILL recalls that Neymar signed a new five-year deal with Barca in 2016, but the Catalans were powerless to stop his move to PSG just a year later as the French side met the buyout clause in his contract.

The Catalan giants have also notified FIFA and the French Football Federation, through the Spanish Football Federation to take what they see as “the appropriate legal effects.”

However, Barca urged PSG to pay the amount they are seeking from Neymar who is reported to earn 30 million euros after tax for the next five years in Paris — isn’t able to meet their demands.

THEWILL recalls Neymar recently criticised Barcelona’s under-fire board after scoring twice in a stunning home debut as PSG beat Toulouse 6-2 on Sunday.

“There are people in charge that shouldn’t be there,” Neymar told reporters.

“Barca deserve much more and everyone knows that.”

Meanwhile, Barcelona have also withheld a 26 million euro bonus due to Neymar for signing the renewal to his contract last year.

“The player hasn’t fulfilled his contract with the club given that because of the breach the club will not pay his renewal bonus,” Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives said on August 4

#RamadanDailyDigest: Muslim Wives Are Supporters, Not Slaves

Muslims have completed fasting Day 4 today, as they look forward to Day 5 fasting out of the 29 or 30 days fasting; it is important to highlight the roles Muslim wives play in the family. Muslim wives are supporters, and not slaves, and should be treated with utmost dignity. In the religion of Islam, the roles and rights of Muslim wives are copiously written and spoken about. How husbands should relate with their wives are clearly stated. In the Glorious Qur'an, to show the love Allaah has for women, chapter 4 is also called 'Suuratu Nisaa' which translates to chapter of the women in English language. Interesting to know that there is no single chapter out of the total 114 chapters of the Glorious Qur'an named after men, further showing that Muslim wives, daughters, mothers, and all groups of females are held in high esteem by Allaah. It is a sad tale to see what happens in the present day world, whereby some women are maltreated and abused by the society and their part...
