#RamadanDailyDigest: No Argument, After Allaah Come Your Parents

On #RamadanDailyDigest for Ramadan 1443AH Day 3, which is Ramadan fasting for year 2022, the significance of knowing that after Allaah come your parents would be written.

Every individual is a result of copulation between a male and a female. You did not drop from the sky nor did you sprout out from the soil like a seed. You are a product of your parents - father and mother. This article will not be discussing artificial or in vitro fertilisation, which is also in one way or the other the product of male sperms and female eggs, meaning a man and woman were involved in the birth of a child from artificial insemination or fertilisation.

Allaah, the Creator of all things, both seen and unseen; living and non living things, as well human beings is the Supreme Being worshipped by all Muslims. Every Muslim rever Allaah most through different acts of worship as stated in the Glorious Qur'an and Books of Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon his noble soul).

When it comes to the first persons to give all honour to after Allaah, your parents are the number one on the priority ladder. No right thinking Muslim will dare go against his or her parents except they ask him or her to practise idolatry or polytheism, or related sins. Therefore, as long as you are breathing, your parents should be the first sets of persons you would shower utmost love and care, as long as you are capable.

After Allaah come your parents
After Allaah come your parents

There are various verses of the Glorious Qur'an and sayings of Prophet Muhammad, where holding your parents in the highest esteem after Allaah are mentioned. For instance in some verses in Chapter 17 (Suuratul Israail) of the Glorious Qur'an, Allaah told the child and decreed that after worshipping ONLY Allaah, the child should be kind to his or her parents, either you only have one parent or the two. Allaah warned that a child should never hiss at his or parents. A child should always say good words to his or her parents, as the verses in Chapter 17 further stated.

In one of the sayings of Prophet of Islaam about your parents, the Messenger of Allaah made it known that if your parents are angry with you because you offended them, Allaah, your Creator will also be angry with you; on the other hand, if your parents are pleased and happy with you, Allaah too will be pleased and happy with you.

There are other sayings of the Prophet of Islaam, where he mentioned the importance of how your mother should be treated with all dignity and firstly attended to before your father. The purpose of this Ramadan Daily Digest article is simply for all Muslims to seek the pleasure of their parents, and not their anger.

#RamadanDailyDigest: Muslim Wives Are Supporters, Not Slaves

Muslims have completed fasting Day 4 today, as they look forward to Day 5 fasting out of the 29 or 30 days fasting; it is important to highlight the roles Muslim wives play in the family. Muslim wives are supporters, and not slaves, and should be treated with utmost dignity. In the religion of Islam, the roles and rights of Muslim wives are copiously written and spoken about. How husbands should relate with their wives are clearly stated. In the Glorious Qur'an, to show the love Allaah has for women, chapter 4 is also called 'Suuratu Nisaa' which translates to chapter of the women in English language. Interesting to know that there is no single chapter out of the total 114 chapters of the Glorious Qur'an named after men, further showing that Muslim wives, daughters, mothers, and all groups of females are held in high esteem by Allaah. It is a sad tale to see what happens in the present day world, whereby some women are maltreated and abused by the society and their part...
