The concept of feminism and gender equality is alien to Muslims and do not exist as far as Islam is concerned. In the modern day world, there are different organisations, both governmenal and non governmental, which are advocates of feminism and gender equality. Feminism and gender equality, though do not directly mean the same thing, but their meanings and the ideology about both are the same.
According to differencebetween.net, "feminism is a set of ideologies, political, and social movements sharing a common goal of defining, creating and achieving equality among different sexes, mostly on the side of women. Gender equality, on the other hand, refers to a state where certain rights, freedoms, and opportunities are not affected by gender."
Feminism and gender equality are defined by people in different ways, however, both talk about parity of the male and female genders in all aspects of life with latent elements of shrouded hypocrisy. Both are about giving women all the rights they deserve even if they do not deserve such rights. Just like any ideology and fallacy, there are fundamentalists and extremists in the concept of feminism and gender equality. These sets of fanatics see the men folks as direct enemies that should be done away with, as they believe men are hindering blocks to them and their success stories in life. In some cases, the upholders of feminism and gender equality are also men. They champion these ideas and also speak for issues that make women lose their values in the society. Such values include telling women to dress half naked; telling women to create hatred for men who try to engage them in discourse, among other things.

In Islam, there is no competition between males and females. This is because there are some things, men are the best at doing such things, while there are some other things, women are the best at doing such things. Therefore, Islam will give preference to a woman to do a particular job which is cut out for them. For instance, talking about female sexuality and puberty, it is the work of an experienced woman or mother to talk to young girls. Islam respects exclusivity, meaning that what is meant for a woman should not be given to a man.
The only thing that advocates of feminism and gender equality should begin to propagate is 'gender equity' which is what the world needs. When there is gender equity, or equity in dealing with males and females, there would be more peace in the world, as equity is about giving what is due to a person who deserves such a thing.

In addition, another example, why Islam frowns at feminism and gender equality is the concept of cross-dressing. Cross-dressers are males who dress like females, and females who dress like males. In one of the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), he said the wrath of Allaah is on a man who appears like a woman or a woman who appears like men.
One important thing to note here is also why Islam absolutely condemns feminism and gender equality. Islam is a religion based on 'prevention is better than cure.' Islam always tells mankind to avoid actions which will tear apart the family and society. In this wise, the idea of feminism and gender equality, has brought more evils to the society than good. Therefore, anything which spreads evil, hatred and acrimony is discarded by Islam, in which feminism and gender equality are parts of the contributors.
In conclusion, Islam is not saying men are better than women, or women are superior to men. What Islam is saying is that you can not equate what is not comparable. The biological, physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological and chemical compositions of the male gender is totally different from those of female. Therefore, why create a problem when there is none in the name of the confusion called feminism and gender equality. This piece could be longer with more points against feminism and gender equality, however, it is simply to bring out some simple points why no man or woman should be a proponent or supporter of the concept of feminism and gender equality.
