Eden Hazard Shines, Scores First Goal For Real Madrid

Former Chelsea of England star player, Eden Hazard has finally found his football boots at Real Madrid after scoring his first goal for the club.

The skillful Belgium international fired in a shot outside the penalty box.

The goal was the only one scored in the match played on Wednesday, August 7.

Marca reports further: Eden Hazard opens Real Madrid account with curling effort from outside the area
A sensational first-half strike from Eden Hazard was enough to hand Real Madrid a 1-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg in pre-season action on Wednesday night at the Red Bull Arena in Austria.

Hazard enjoyed his best performance in a Real Madrid shirt to date, capped by his right-footed rocket, but the sleepy second half put forth by Los Blancos will not have exactly pleased manager Zinedine Zidane.

There was definitely a different look to the Real starting eleven, as Zidane opted for a five-man backline that saw Eder Militao take up one of the centre-back positions, while Dani Carvajal and Marcelo played in the wing-back roles. Otherwise, it was the usual cast of characters, with Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema up top.

Los Blancos didn't have to wait too long for a goal, as a counter-attack ended with Hazard  receiving a pass on the left from Benzema and the Belgian cut toward the middle of the pitch unleashing a bullet that seared the net for a 0-1 lead.
